The Government of Egypt (GoE) recognized that the Suez Canal was an underutilized economic resource at the time. The GoE’s main objective was to create a global logistics hub and industrial center that attracts Foreign Direct Investment and fosters sustainable economic growth within the Suez Canal Region. On behalf of the Dar Group, PFAL led research in international investment appetite for the Suez Canal Area Development Plan.
PFAL provided recommendations on the financing structure and delivery based on outreach to potential investors, lenders, multilaterals, export credit agencies, and private developers.
