Richard joined Project Finance Advisory, Ltd. (PFAL) in 2014. He is a registered municipal advisor based in PFAL’s San Francisco office. With over 18 years’ experience in the infrastructure sector, he is a specialist in financial and technical advisory services for P3 transactions in Europe, Middle East, South America and US markets.
Richard has advised on over USD $20 billion of investment in high profile complex transportation and social infrastructure projects for both governments and private investors/lenders.
Prior to joining PFAL, Richard was an Associate at Arup with responsibility as a lead transaction advisor for government and lender advisory services for P3 infrastructure projects. Relocating from his native Ireland, Richard’s early career started in 2001 at a structural engineer at Arup London.
Richard is a registered municipal advisor, registered professional engineer in the UK, and qualified Corporate Finance professional with Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada. Richard is a regular lecturer since 2015 at Stanford’s Global Project Center.
