The Atlanta Beltline is a 22-mile loop streetcar / passenger light rail project circling the whole of downtown and midtown Atlanta, Georgia, connecting around 40 neighborhoods with the heart of the Airport. PFAL was engaged to develop a Strategic Implementation Plan for the project, which brings together all aspects of the project’s planning and funding to optimize delivery and maximize benefits to the public. The project is funded by a mixture of Tax Increment Financing, local grants and donations, and is expected to rely on Federal funding including FTA New Starts and a potential TIFIA loan.
