Innovation Square is an urban redevelopment project that is intended to transform underutilized land in Gainesville, Florida into a walkable urban research district to capitalize on the entrepreneurial energy of the University of Florida.
The development breaks down the barriers between “town and gown” by creating a collaborative space for research and discovery.
Working with the University, the Gainesville Community Redevelopment Agency, Shands Healthcare, the City of Gainesville and private development groups, Perkins+Will created a long-term Development Plan. PFAL worked with the University and the Perkins+Will design team to provide financial advice in support of the project.
